    April 30, 2026, 11:00 a.m., U.S. Eastern Time
Members present: Scott Field, Han Koh, Bishop Carolyn Moore, Debbie Smalley, Zak Vakadewatabua, and Vatroslav Zupancic.
Not Present: David Duggan, Patti Molik, Ed Murphy, Teresa Marcus and Lauren Yates. Scott Field called the meeting to order at 11:02 a.m., U.S. ET.
Opening Prayer: Field led the group in an opening prayer.
Minutes: The minutes of the 3/24/2026 meeting were unanimously approved.
Budget Report: David Duggan reported via email that based on the first quarter financial report of the GMC, the ERC had expenditures of $17,134.62 with a remaining balance of $105,165.38. He reported that because there were discrepancies in some line-item submissions and that there was also some confusion concerning where the Curriculum Project expenditures were reported, he would file an updated report upon the receipt of the second quarter financial report of the GMC.
ERC Curriculum Project: Field gave an update on the “Step-by-Step Guide to Building Local Church Partnerships" reporting that it was proceeding in a timely manner. The second round of reviews have begun with 17 people around the globe submitting feedback. The format for the webpage and a recommended resource list has been sent to the web developer at the GMC. Bishop Moore has filmed her video and the video by Dr. Tim Tennant is being worked on.
An email and link was sent to 9 people globally who will produce a 5-minute video each of their testimonies in ecumenical work.
A request for this guide to be produced in podcast form has been made. The priority for now is to complete the written material to be completed by the June 30th deadline.
A discussion followed concerning a promotional plan for this guide. A possible suggestion included having representatives attend Annual Conferences to present the guide and also to produce a video to promote the material.
Connectional Updates: Bishop Moore reported that there are no new reports. Han Koh reported that there were no new updates from Korea at this time. Vatroslav Zupancic reported about the night of worship and prayer that was organized as a project of partnership with other evangelical churches in Zagreb together with Luis Palau ministries in April as a preparation for a main event - an evangelism on June 13th. We are also preparing a public event with the organization Open Doors for persecuted Christians. On June 20th, we will hold a presentation of the World Watch Index in a hotel in downtown Zagreb.
Update on Glenmary: Zac Vakadewatabua will submit a written report on his experience at Glenmary sharing that there were 16 denominations represented. He reported information about the Global Christian Forum as an alternative to the World Council of Churches for building ecumenical relations.
General Conference Business: The group discussed whether there was an expectation for a display table from the Ecumenical Relationships Commission at General Conference in Johannesburg. Bishop Moore agreed to ask Diane Burnett about options for a table, including potential fees and requirements. The team decided to create a promotional flyer with a QR code instead of a display table, which Field agreed to work on. They also briefly discussed the possibility of incorporating this promotional material into a 3-minute speech at the conference.
The next meeting of the ERC will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. U.S. EST. Bishop Moore will give the devotional/prayer.
Bishop Moore closed the meeting in prayer.
The meeting adjourned at 11:48 a.m. U.S. EST.
