I. Africa Update [Simon Mafunda]
a. Simon Mafunda shared about the growth of the church in Africa, highlighting progress in Southern, Eastern Central, and West Africa regions. He requested that Namibia, Botswana, and Madagascar be established as one emerging area. Burundi would be designated as another emerging area.

IV. New Business
a. Request for a Name Change for Western Europe Emerging Area
i. The Commission recommended a name change for the Western Europe Emerging Area to "Aldersgate Europe Emerging Area," based on a request from that region's leadership.
b. Request for Consideration of Two Emerging Areas in Africa
i. The Commission recommended the creation of two new emerging areas in Africa: a "Southern Africa Emerging Area" including Namibia, Botswana, and Madagascar, and a separate area for Burundi. See the Africa Update (Learning section, I. a.) presented by Simon Mafunda.
c. Clarification Regarding Heartland Conference Relationship and Oversight in Canada i. The Commission recommended Alberta and the Northwest Territories as missional areas under Heartland Conference's supervision, though this would not affect the rest of Canada.
