General Conference Commission
Purpose & Role
The General Conference Commission is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting all aspects of the Global Methodist Church’s General Conferences. Serving the whole denomination, the Commission ensures that each General Conference is organized with care, transparency, and efficiency so that the Church can faithfully discern its direction and conduct its work together.
The Commission recommends conference locations, develops schedules, communicates essential information to delegates, and manages event logistics, including budgets, contracts, and vendor coordination. It also oversees the legislative structure of the conference—determining committee needs, facilitating the distribution of materials, and recommending updates to the Plan of Organization and Covenant for Our Life Together as the life of the Church continues to grow and mature.
